With the office role changing and evolving, most people no longer require a standard secretary. Gone are the days where a secretary would just answer the telephone and book some meetings. These days managers expect secretaries to perform much more complex tasks such as research, creating documents from scratch, liaisng with different clients, internal departments and colleagues to collate information, event management, and much more.

As part of this ever-evolving role, secretaries are expected to have exceptional IT and organisational skills, but how do you know that the candidate you are interviewing has these skills? Whilst recruitment companies run tests as standard on all their candidates before sending them to you for an interview, often these tests are out-dated and of no use or consequence to your requirements. Yes the candidate can type fast, but can they run a MailMerge, work with Excel on complicated accounts, can they create visual presentations that your client will be impressed with, and can they think for themselves? None of these things are currently covered by recruitment companies.

This is where I can help. I can discuss with you your exact requirements for the role, what the secretary/administrator/PA/office manager will be required to do on a day-to-day basis and work with you to vet these candidates before you meet them for interviews. This can save you valuable time, and importantly – money.

I offer two levels of plan, the standard plan and the plus plan. The different plans allow you to have the flexibility of still using a recruitment agency if your company has a contract, but with the security of knowing you have an extra level of checking.

THE STANDARD PLAN
£500

£500 payment due upon creation of the personal interview process. Success fee of £500 should you hire someone as a result of this process and they pass their probation.

I will work with you and create a personal interview process. I will contact each potential candidate that you have (whether through an agency or through direct contact) and will arrange for them to complete the personal interview process within 12 hours and return it to me. I will review the completed personal interview process and provide you with the results, a summary and a detailed report based on the results.

THE PLUS PLAN
£2,000

£500 payment upon creation of the personal interview process. £500 payment upon recruitment of each candidate. £1,000 success fee should the successful candidate pass their probation.

I will work with you and create a personal interview process. I will use my contacts to source five suitable candidates* and ask them to complete the personal interview process I have created for your role to ensure that they are definitely of a suitable level for your role. I will review the completed personal interview process and provide you with the results, a summary and a detailed report based on the results as well as their availability for interview. You can then choose which of the candidates to interview.

In the event that none of the five candidates are suitable for the role, I will source a further five suitable candidates* at a discounted rate for £250 and the success fee will be reduced to £750.
