I was born in Kent in 1982.
Over the past 15 years I have had a variety of jobs which have given me a great many skills and a good oversight of how the world works.
I started my post-school studies with an advanced GNVQ in Media & Communications. I really enjoyed this and passed with a distinction.
Following this course I undertook an NVQ in business administration and landed my first role at Saga. During my years at Saga I took on more responsibility including studying for an LCCI in Business and Management.
I moved to London and took a role at Jones Lang LaSalle where I added research, and website design and maintenance to my skills. I helped to set up a secretarial network.
My next role was at Knight Frank where I added knowledge of real estate to my skills. I went on to become office manager. During this time, I undertook a few freelance website design jobs and some design work for friends.
Through a fellow PA I found out about the legal profession. Given my strong attention to detail I sought out a role at Norton Rose. I undertook a Microsoft Office Specialist certificate to become a MOS – Master and also an LCCI Legal Secretarial qualification.
It was during this period of my life that I decided to start up a website with my then girlfriend. Planet London was born.
I joined Legal & General and further improved my skills around legal, insurance and administration. I got a promotion to become an Executive Assistant to the CFO where I was able to manage the office to an exceptional standard. I also got involved in the introduction of social media where I was able to use my existing knowledge and provide support and feedback.
Over the last 5 years I have maintained a full time job whlist managing the Planet websites. This has enabled me to really improve my skills around design, website design and also my communication skills.
In 2015 I lost my Mum and my marriage ended so I’m doing things I love and things that make me happy. Living life for the moment, taking any opportunity that comes up!
